About Me

My photo
i moved where my heart had drifted off to long before. i live on a hill of hundred acres, where my dreams have merged with the view. it is quiet from machine noises yet loud with sounds of horses, dogs, cats chickens and ducks. nature is the true artist in resident and i am just her apprentice who often gets lost in her gaze. once and a while i travel back to cities and foreign places to put into photographs what i have learned, yet always, part of my heart is left on the hill..

a pot

as i write i stare unto the pastures lined with trees of every color. at times the wind plays making the leaves look like falling snow flakes. meringues bake in the oven and the rays of sun are piercing through the kitchen window. so why am i feeling like i might boil over

he calls you love

she. has he always called you love

i. no just recently

she. if you do not mind me saying it, but there seems to be anger behind it

i. oh, i suppose there is

i. (is quiet)

she. i' am sorry have i upset you.

i. no, no i am glad of your honesty

i. (thinking) he asked me what i missed most of the affair
and i said "he used to call me love" perhaps it is his way of
working through it, i am glad for it, yes i think i am.. for now
every-time he says it i cringe and that will surely erase any longing to
hear it spoken by anyone......

she. but i have upset you

i. no not all, in fact i am glad of it, it has helped me
shall we go get something sweet...

no not the same

you asked if my smile was the same
and if my hair was still long
a second later you asked if my eyes still sparkled
and if my skin was still rosey and pale...

you asked me why i as was so quiet, you said hello
hello in the receiver as if the line got diconnected

disconnected, yes.

those things no longer apply to me, perhaps the long hair..
but i still drink mochas, read russian litterature, i have two dogs but there not the same ones, i know longer practice, i cry when i am happy and now i cry when i am sad and sometimes when i am mad and i am all those things a lot of the time.

things that are making me happy

the yellow squash i picked from the garden
the very large butterfly that flew into my car and decided to stay
to see my feet back to normal
the guava juice i found in the refrigerator, thank you stranger
the hummus and pita bread i snacked on
liking the shape my mouth makes as i feel a smile come on
not feeling nervous of the potential homelessness

Lets take a walk in the woods

" I am going to take you somewhere you have not been before" I love hearing those words ...I had a very nice time
exploring this new found place, marble, moss, new life everywhere....the temperature could not have been more perfect, trees so high you could easily trip from looking up......tiny rivers and stone walls....it was really great to be out there or is it in there (forest) the best part of it was no one else was there.

the find

I walked again on the farm and
look what I found- the beehive
that just a few days before i had
photographed had fallen. I have
always admired this artwork from
afar so I had no true understanding
of how delicate and complexe their( bees/wasp) work truly is.

It's magical to take a moment and really
think about how something that weighs no
more than 3 oz can house so much!
